We collect additional information that allows us to know how you use our Services. This data includes your language preferences, your country of residence, the name of your employer, your profession and the industry in which you work.

After creating an account or registering to receive our Services, and with your consent, we collect the following additional information:

  • your subscription packages and payment information;
  • details of the Services you have purchased or are interested in;

We collect your credit card information, as well as your name and billing address that we transmit to the payment processing system to facilitate the transaction. For more information, you can consult the privacy policy of our supplier Stripe.

2.2 The information we automatically collect

We also collect certain information about the Services you use and the way you use them. We use this information based on our legitimate interest in improving your experience and developing better online, mobile and desktop applications.

This information includes:

System information and usage data

We collect information about how you use our Services. This includes the content you are viewing and navigation time on our Websites, the date and time of access to our applications, the operations performed during their use, your city and your country based on your IP address and information about your browser.

Cookies and similar technologies

Airtasks uses cookies (small text files stored by your web browser when you visit Websites) and similar technologies to collect and store certain information when you visit our Websites and use our applications.

We use cookies to allow us to remember your information and settings when you visit our Websites in the future. This will give you faster and more convenient access to our Websites. Persistent cookies allow you to use different features of a website, such as language selection, theme selection, menu preferences, selection of bookmarks, or internal favorites for a Website. By using our Websites, you consent to the use of cookies and other similar technologies.

You can usually disable cookies in your browser, although each browser is different and this may prevent you from using all the features of our Websites.

In addition, we use third-party analytics tools, such as Google Analytics, to help us understand how you use our Websites and apps.

It is important to understand that we associate all the data we collect to your personal account, as stated above.

Lastly, based on our legitimate interest in protecting our Websites from abusive automated crawling and spam, we also use “Google reCAPTCHA” (hereinafter “reCAPTCHA”). reCAPTCHA is used to check whether the data entered on our Websites (such as on a signup form) has been entered by a human or by an automated program. To do this, reCAPTCHA analyzes the behavior of the website visitor based on various characteristics. This analysis starts automatically as soon as the website visitor enters the website. For the analysis, reCAPTCHA evaluates various information (e.g. IP address, how long the visitor has been on the website, or mouse movements made by the user). The data collected during the analysis will be forwarded to Google. The reCAPTCHA analyses take place completely in the background. Website visitors are not advised that such an analysis is taking place. For more information about Google reCAPTCHA, please visit Google’s terms of use and privacy policy.

  • to support our legitimate interest in better tailoring our advertising to your interests;
  • to support our legitimate interest in using automated systems to analyze your data using machine learning and advanced analytics to improve our applications;

Unless otherwise stated, there is no legal or contractual obligation that requires you to provide this data. However, if you do not provide this data, we may not be able to offer you our Services.

4. How does Airtasks communicate your personal data?

To provide you with the best possible Services, we collaborate with other service providers. These companies are based around the world and we demand that they protect your privacy. We do not allow them to use your personal data for their own purposes. Our service providers include companies we use for the following purposes:

  • Sales and marketing;
  • Social networks;
  • Communication;

  • When the data no longer serves to identify yourself. This can happen via aggregation, when your data is combined with other data to become a statistic (for example, to create summaries about usage).

We may also disclose your personal information, regardless of how we collect it, to a third party in the course of a reorganization or sale of our assets or a corporate entity of our enterprise group or one of its divisions. Any third party to whom these assets may be sold will have the right to continue to use the information you have provided to us, provided we comply with the applicable federal and provincial privacy laws governing such disclosures.

5. How does Airtasks protect your personal information?

We use a variety of reasonable physical, administrative and technological controls in accordance with industry standards to protect your data from unauthorized access or malicious action, both during its transmission and after its reception.

In fact, Airtasks systematically encrypts all communications over the Internet using Transport Layer Security (TLS) technology. In addition, your account information (Airtasks, if applicable) is password protected. It's important to protect yourself from unauthorized access to your accounts and information by carefully choosing your passwords and keeping your passwords and computer secure, for example by logging out after using our applications.

Finally, access to your personal information is limited to Airtasks employees, contractors and agents who need to know this information to perform their work and to develop or improve our products and Services.

Unfortunately, no transmission over-the-internet or electronic storage method is perfectly secure. Therefore, while we strive to protect your personal information, we can not guarantee their absolute security.

If you have any questions regarding the security of your personal information, please do not hesitate to contact us at the following address: privacy@airtasks.com.

6. How to access, update and delete your personal information?

When we use your personal information for the purpose of direct marketing, you may still object to it by using the link to unsubscribe from these communications. At any time, you can also change your communication preferences for Airtasks offers.

Finally, as long as you use Airtasks, we will be able to send you notification emails about the use of the service. You can always change your communication preferences for these notification emails in your Airtasks profile. However, since some of these emails are critical to Airtasks, you can not completely unsubscribe unless, of course, you ask us to close your account.

We store your personal information and content on the servers of our service providers. Our service providers have servers in various locations around the globe. The personal information in your Airtasks account is primarily stored in Canada while the data we use for marketing purposes may be transferred and stored in various countries.

We will retain your personal information as long as necessary to provide you with the applications you use and to comply with our legal obligations, if any.

8. How does Airtasks protect children's data?

At Airtasks, we place a high value on the privacy of children and the protection of their personal information. All our Websites, applications and Services are intended and designed for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in connection with our Services.
